Our Worship Services
Variety characterizes life at Compass Point! Our services are brought to life by the use of multi-media and differing musical styles. Messages that are relevant to everyday life are foundational to each Sunday’s gathering. As a guest, we want you to relax and enjoy your visit. Your participation in all areas of worship, including the offering, holds no obligation and is at your discretion. Come comfortably dressed.
On Sundays we have a variety of worship options.

Our 9:15 a.m. service at Kerns is characterized by a contemporary worship style. Our senior pastor, Michael Pawelke, usually brings the message, but occasionally our campus pastor, Paul Eastwood, or other staff or guest speakers share this responsibility. An exciting children’s program runs concurrently to this service. You can expect to see 500-600 people in the main service.

Our Ellis service at 10:30 a.m. is also characterized by a contemporary worship style. While the topic preached on Sunday is generally the same as what is taught at the Kerns location, it is usually delivered by campus pastor, Michael Bowyer. This is a smaller congregation in east Hamilton and is attended by 30-40 people.

Our 11:00 a.m. service at Kerns has a more traditional flavour, combining piano and organ with other instruments. Our choir is very active in this service. Our senior pastor, Michael Pawelke, usually speaks, but occasionally, campus pastor, Doug Agnew or other staff or guest speakers share this responsibility. Attendance is in the 300 range.
